PITTSBURGH – The Department of Public Works announced today that there will be periodic lane and sidewalk closures on the Homestead Grays Bridge in the City of Pittsburgh and Homestead Borough starting at 9 a.m. on Monday, August 28, 2023. The restrictions, which are expected to end in September, will occur from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. on weekdays. They are required for work on the bridge’s expansion dams and deck repairs.
While work is taking place, traffic will be maintained in both directions. Drivers might experience traffic delays on and near the bridge, and they are urged to use caution in the area.
The $949,663 project will be done by Pugliano Construction Company, Inc., of Plum.
